Hello all,

Inexorably rising
The sun illuminates
Look closely
Need sparks an early flight

Hey Hugh,

Cool! What great layers in the sky and that bird really tops this off.

Great work.

Hi Hugh, it seems you finally got some clouds to play with and you took great advantage of it. Beautiful shot!

Very nice shot - delightful colors and comp. And a perfectly cooperative bird to pose in mid flight for your shot too.

I like everything but the bird, Hugh. I feel like it is too distracting and disturbs the lines you have. I love the abstract quality you have achieved with the strong use of color.

Hey Hugh,

Very artistic. I like this allot. Great color in frame choice, too.

Like a nuclear explosion. Very brave.
I like it, the bird too which adds a calmer element.

That's intense alright, really nice shot. Not sure about the bird though, it's a bit small to stand out and blends with the cloud band a bit too much. I think if it were to the lower right over the sun, and a nice black silhouette it'd be great.

Amazing shot, Hugh. Aside from the obvious intensity of this shot, I don't think I have ever seen such an unusual series of cloud formations.

Very interesting shot, and one that is extremely unique.

Cheers,
Ed

Hello Jim, thanks for the kind words. It was another bit of good luck - I didn't see the bird until processing. I guess it's true that they are everywhere . Glad you enjoyed the image.

Hello Mike, thanks for commenting. Yep, pretty nice, but limited in extent. Thankfully, zooming in was effective. Glad you enjoyed it too.

Great catch, Hugh. Beautiful layered sky and light. The pelican is a sweet element to discover!

Hello Binh, the color was limited, but very intense when zoomed into. The pelican was a piece of luck. Glad you enjoyed the result.
