Well I just returned from a family vacation to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Amazing part of the country and one I hope to go back to again real soon. I travelled very light for the trip no big glass and I left the tripod at home. Before leaving I picked up a mint D300 ( thank you Dennis G) and a Nikon 70-300 VR off the Buy/Sell here on FM. This combo proved to be more than adequate for light travel and grabbing great shots of the wildlife and surrounding scenery. Much better results than I expected. (It's raining in the first shot, that's not noise) |

Great images! I love my 70-300VR -- nice light lens for telephoto work. I use mine with both the D700 and D90. I also tried it out on my F100 and some E6 film with excellent results. |

It's always great when something exceeds our expectations. |
