Woah!!
All three images have that "calendar" quality to them. You should consider marketing them to publishers.

#1 Male Hooded Merganser - great contrast, nice head angle, almost mirror-like reflection, the creamy background is to die for. A minor nit would be the tightness around the frame.

#2 Wood Duck drake in flight - PRO: a bit of wingtip blur to show movement, accurate exposure, soft background. CON: the shadow line under the left wing a bit distracting, composition needs more space on left and less space on bottom.

#3 Bluebird (Eastern?) - I really like the composition. Pluses are the wing flap, visible feet, gradient background, and most of all, the flower (with the stem leading out from the corner)!!

Masterful work, Christopher!

Hanh

The first is a touch overexposed in the whites Christopher. You might want to give it a bit more space in the direction it’s looking (move it to the left a bit). The sharpness and background are great. The wood duck in flight is a great photo. A bit of leading space would be good for it to fly into though it works well as is. The last is a wonderful moment. If you used flash there was a bit too much hiding shadow to make it more 3d. Still a fine photo.

Oops, did I cut in too soon? Sorry Christopher.

I'm exhausted from the first 3 so I'm not going in to details with the last 3. Over all, they're great. I do sense some emotions being conveyed in those images.

Hi Chris. I like the merg, but I find the crop a bit tight too and the beak is kind of lost in it's dark plumage, the wood duck is cool but it needs more room in front, less behind the duck. The bluebird is real nice. The family is a cool scene. a tad soft. The blue heron is AWESOME. The fox is cool, though I'd crop foreground out of it and show him off more. A nice series of shots so far.

I think 2009 is a very good year for you These are all top-notch work - love every one Chris. The color and detail are dazzling, The merganser would have been nice to the left a little I think and the whites a re little hot on it, but my only nit

They're all beautiful Christopher,

I don't necessarily agree with the framing on many of them - - but they're beautiful shots & this may well be your "style".

Presentation is just lovely. Blue Bird, Heron & Fox are my favorites.

Looks like a good your for you.

Hello Christopher,

These are exceptional! Wonderful comps and beautiful subjects. The Merganser is my favorite, but I also really like the detailing on the Heron shot.

Well done,
Tom
