Just got back from several days of kayaking the Lake Superior coast at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Penninsula. More of a scouting trip than anything else -- I'm getting ready to leave for 2 weeks in Colorado so I didn't have a huge amount of time.

I've posted a few more images from the trip on my website, as well as a description of my trip in a new feature I've launched called Photo Journal, feel free to check it out.

Unusual compositions on #1 and #3, but they work very well

Pretty cool Ian, as always you come up with some unique perspectives. Your site doesn't seem to be loading for me

I like the second one the best. I need to get up there, I only live a couple of hours from there.

thanks Floris -- Picaholic is down (again) -- it has been a bit of a problem, seems to hit whenever I do anything to promote my site! Otherwise the site works fine . . .

Very nice. #3 captures the sandstone wonderfully! This is one of my fave places...got married there 3 weeks ago!

Really like the Photo Journal too. Nice job.

Nice set Ian - the first shot has some interesting and compelling elements but the second one is the image that grabs my attention. The framing, details, and colors work very nicely in this one.

Nice work.

Nice group, Ian. I prefer the last two. The second is exceptional. Great capture.

All wonderful shots Ian. Love the flow of water in #1 and the framing of the arch is great. The third one has great colour, texture and comp.

Three distinctive images, Ian. Like 'em all, but really like the pov and sheltered lighting in the 2nd. Great shot!
