... well Jon is away looking for food?

I chose this crop because I felt it portrayed the moment in the most expressive way. I know, the Mallard hen & babies are something you see often but I wanted to capture the excitement of the little ducklings heading to the water.

Hello again, FMers! How's everyone doing? It's been a while since I've been on the forum. Would be nice if some of you come by and say hello.

C & C welcome. Thank you.
Hanh

I like it Hanh, I was able to capture my first baby mallards a few days ago. I like that the ducklings are in front of the mother... normally they are trailing her.

Hanh,

sweet shot. Yes that one female has a lot of ducklings.

I love the Pano crop here - perfect decision.

Wow, great shot Hanh and welcome back.
You have captured the rush to the water all right. The little ones look very anxious to get there.

Nice one, I really like this cHanh. The colors and crop are very nice. Low angle gives intimacy between the viewer and the subject . You now have "Jon & Kate +11", next project should be "Octo Mom"

Well hello Hanh Now that is what I call having all your duckling in a row Nice to hear and see from you again. Cute shot with a nice perspective, they look excited to get in for a swim! Color and details are very pleasing for me, thoughts on it would be to possibly level the angle on it as the duckling appear going downhill a bit and I would like to see more water and less at the top of the frame, those are my 'nits' they come for free, you can return them at anytime too

Chad,
Thanks for the look. The babies just couldn't wait to get to the water that they ran ahead of their waddling mother. I think it was an instinctive reaction.

Hi Dan.
Thanks for the comment.
I was there just before sunset that's why the light was so yellow.

Hm I was surprised that you got the Jon & Kate reference.

Oh, this is precious. Usually the babies are following mommy. What a wonderful shot, kudos.
