This is for those folks who love their lenses, or some of them, or even just one of them, so much so that they take their pictures. Yes, we geared-heads do like to take as well as share pictures of our gear.

Show us what your favourite lens(es) is (are) by posting their photos.
Could be a $100 lens or a $12,000 lens......that doesn't matter.
What will matter is how lovingly and/or creatively your images of those lenses are crafted.

I do know some of you guys are real product photography champs. However, the operative words are "lovingly crafted"......which doesn't neccessarily mean professionally slick and polished.

Here is my own 85L MkI.

Ok, are those yours and what did you take the shot with?

These are on loan, and the shot was done with 50 f/1.2....our favourite, matey.

However, I think I'll post one of my own later on, when I dig it out.

I was thinking it looked pretty 50L-ish!

Nice shot mate, it's like taking a picture of two penny-blacks or two Avro Arrows!

You knew it was coming, didn't you?

Make no mistake about how much I love this lens, despite the lack of "love" in the shot.

cogitech, what's the rationale for the tape job on the body?

Paul, your love for the grandpa is quite evident.
Well accentuated massive focus ring and fine front element reflection.

Well, I guess I'm not really one for romantic gear pictures. Usually, my glass only sees the front of the camera mounted. But I do have a picture of last year's love affair, my first full frame Canon SLR and the 85L.

The photo is as quick, impromptu and dirty as our relationship was - taken on a hotel room desk with flash bounced off of a pillow.
In the end we got along too well and now I'm mostly seen with a 5D and the 35L mounted...

Gotta' say it... does it impress anyone else as more than a bit strange to take photographs of your lenses? ;-)

Not much stranger really than talking about lenses as opposed to just using them in a taciturn manner.

Peter..how do you like your 50L ?. It's the focal length I really like but I'm worry about all the focus shift issue.

Kewl, I do like it. However, I do not not photograph close-up things with it because of the focus shift. In all other respects it's a very good lens.

Here is probably my most loved lens, or a stylized image of it.

Kiran, the twist is that the model for that shot was left-footed !

Here is another shot of my baby with its alternative hood.
