How come these Canon guys look so unhappy, could it be they just noticed they were being shot with a Nikon D3?

We all had a good laugh after the shot!

They don't look unhappy. They look tired. Look at all that weight they've been carrying around all day!

Yea, all the guys with Nikons are off taking pictures!

(terribly fanboyish post, but what the heck if it's all in good-natured fun)

It's clear... while the equipment worked flawlessly, they failed to capture the shot for whatever reason. Let's see, short lenses, flashes and new PWs with beer. Probably the initial tapping of the new ale and a fat lady obscured the view...

Could have happened just as easily to a Sony guy...

Well judging from the fact that they are all sitting at a table, and don't exactly look like 'team sports shooter' or something, they are at a 'look at my gear meet'.

They are upset because the beer , as you can see, is watered down....a bummer for anyone.

Nah, not really. Canon guys gotta stick together since so many of them went Nikon after the D3 came out. Maybe these guys are just said because another of their buddies just switched. Nikon shooters could care less what you are shooting with and just have fun, as with this shot.

Or maybe you are right - it is telling.

You'd think with all those beers people would be smiling more. Maybe they should be drinking wine. Seriously though, who knows what they were off about. Maybe they are annoyed because their ride home did not show up, flight was delayed, etc.

BTW, how can you tell that image is taken with a D3, some overexposure/metering issue?

I was shooting pro series racing at the RC track. I was shooting with my D2h, and my buddy had his 1dIIn. As he took a shot, he tripped and fell backwards onto the track. After he got up I said, "Boy jason, that canon has a kick to it doesn't it!"
