Damn, several sessions shooting with you and I'd be as big as a house! And quite happy

Now I have to check the 'fridge for a snack

Bob

Mmmmm.... I hate to imagine the calorie count. If I lived near that shop I'd need a heavy duty immobility scooter to haul around my carcass....

Nice shot Scott. I have a couple of minor things for you. The line at the top isn't even, which should be a relatively easy correction for you. Also, in the lower left there is a shadow, which I would probably clone out. I wish the text weren't cut off, but there's not much that can be done about that now.

A question for you on something like this. Do you ask the owner to take a shot, or do you just do a quick grab? I've always felt a bit self-conscious about taking shots like this.

Thanks for sharing,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Appreciate your detailed observations and helpful suggestions.

It was a small bakery with friendly staff (owners?) behind the counter. I smiled at them, and they beamed proudly back at me. So I guess I got permission. Did the same thing in several locations in the North End, with only welcoming nods.
But I was down in Edgewater, NJ, across from NYC shooting images in a Japanese supermarket. And told to stop. Different folks, maybe just a different culture. It really took me by suprise to be told photos were not allowed. But why not?
