I have been feeling pangs of guilt recently for having sold my D2H, so I went flipping through some of my favorite images taken with it!

Here's a place for us to share our best work captured by everyone's favorite, amazing, and black-voodoo-magic-powered 4.1 megapixel camera! Who says "obsolete" DSLRs can't create a good image? Let's show the naysayers!

Here are a pair of my favorite D2H shots to start things off. Both were taken with a Nikon D2H + 85mm f/1.8 AF-D lens.

Wait a minute... Are you implying that you don't have to have a D3X to get great images? Surely that can't be true.

In all seriousness, great work here .

^^ VERY nice big cat pics, especially the last one!!

^ The D3x just makes it easier to aggressively crop or blow your shot up the size of a house instead of being limited to 16x20 (or 20x30 for some subjects) on the D2H/D2Hs.

Keep 'em coming, D2H/D2Hs shooters!

Man, they are worth so little these days why didnt you just keep it??

Lisa, loving that owl shot. How do you like the 2H over the 1H??

Anyway, here are three shots. Enjoy. First one at a concert with 85 f/1.4.. The other two are at the Red Fort, in New Delhi with the 70-200VR.

If the D1H innards were in the D2H body, I think I would have found the perfect camera. I prefer the ergonomics and battery life of the D2H, but I still like the files from the D1H a bit better. I tend to get more keepers that need less post processing from the D1H.

All that said, I have captured a few shots I do like from the D2h though, so I can't knock it.

If the battery life in the D1H was like that of the D2 series, I would have kept mine..

^If the battery life of the D1H was like that of the D2 series, I would've probably gotten one as a backup.

I love my D2H. I know at some point it will be time to retire it. But not for a long time. I use it almost dedicated for sports since I have another body to shoot portrait and landscape.
