looks too dark to me

only looks too dark because you've got big ol caesars palace in the background imho. Would've been cool to have the people on the street motion blurred more, but hey. I can see what you were going for.

nice shot going to vegas looking for a spot to take a night shot of the strip and hover dam. Any ideas will be helpful

There are a lot of good spots in Las Vegas to take pictures. But it depends what kind of pictures you would like to take. If I can give you one advise book a room on the Strip (Planet Hollywood, Paris, Bellagio ...), with an Strip view and as high as possible. Las vegas by night is an amazing show.
