I was lucky enough to be in Sydney last week for the start of the Vivid Festival. Part of the festival involved lighting the sails of the Sydney Opera House with images designed by Brian Eno. Our apartment had a fantastic view over the harbour and I was able to get quite a lot of images.

Here are a few.

Hi,

Very cool images of an iconic building.

The projection images are...vivid.

Beautiful colors and "WILD" look for the building.

They should keep that going.

I saw the opera house on Sunday night it really is spectacular and hope they extend it. I didn't have my tripod with me and was very windy but a good low vantage point is near the southern pylon. I think they should have this on every weekend rather than just this two week block. It truly looks awesome. Whoever it was that orchestrated it all is pretty smart.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The thing I like about this sort of photography is that even a rank amateur like me can get some good shots with a tripod and a good vantage point.

This is the first time the festival has been run, I think, though they have lit the sails on other occasions. The festival runs until 14 June - http://vividsydney.com/

There are light shows all around the Rocks area of Sydney which was luckily where we were staying. Buildings like the Observatory and the Museum of Contemporary Art were also lit up. Once I have finished processing them I will post a few of them as well.

cheers,
Glen.

Really cool to see this unique variations on a landmark building.
A little bit strange also, because I expect the building to be white.
Nice images!
