Not much time to shoot so I just went down to my garden. Certainly not my best flower pic but the colours were irresistible. |

Great job in short time. I like the concave and convex sides of the stamen* filaments as much as the colors. |

Lovely shot, Yakim, my friend! Other have already mentioned the lovely color and so i will, as well. That lovely purple seems to glow and the white flower against it is really striking. Good work! |

It's a Bougainvillea. It's three flowers "merged" into one. |

Very colourful Yakim. I have one very similar growing in my garden and flowering right now which is why I recognised it instantly. The bougainvillea flowers in a number of different shades and are quite common over here. Well done. |

Thank you Dan. I must admit that I am a bit surprised by the warm welcome. I thought it's only an O.K. pic. |

I took this one yesterday. I think it is a bit better from the compositional PoV but the colours are not as striking. What do you think? Should I replace the one in the OP? |

I agree, compositionally this is good. But, there is just something about the first that grabs you. |

So how can I decide? |

Both do, but from different perspectives so neither is a clear winner. |

I prefer to first. To me it's color contrast is more striking. The second, although the pink is pleasing, it isn't as strong a graphic to my eyes. |

Many thanks for your opinion. The first it is then. |
