Hello all,

I've heard so much about this blower, does anyone actually use one? And where did you get it?

Thanks,
Omarlyn

I have one - just received it and haven't used it yet.

I bought mine from 2filter.

look, it has no real special properties. its just a neat little blower that everyone seems to love because it looks like a rocket. the nozzle though is hard plastic and does seem to give i little more umph per squeeze . yeah, i have one too.

It's fine. So are the regular bulb blowers I have.

Seems to have more umph than the little blowers I've seen and owned previously. I think that it moves more air too.

I agree with Eric about the "umph". Two other things I like about it: The bulb is rubber and is softer than many of the other blowers I've had, so it's real easy to squeeze and get a strong "breeze." Also, the design allows you to easily point/direct the air flow with the nozzle. For example, if you have your lens on a table or mounted to a body on a tripod, you can squeeze with one hand and use the other hand to point the nozzle.

Others like Ben Horne have praised the foot pumps that you can get at camping stores, etc. These are fantastic. But, they are far too big for portable use or carrying in your bag. The rocket is great for this.

I got mine at the Filter Connection.

Thanks for all the info. Sounds like it's good enough to add to my bag...just one more question: I went to the 2filter web site and they list two different sizes. A 170mm and a 190mm, any comments on which one?

Thanks All,
Omarlyn

This might be a little off-topic, but has anyone ever used one of those bulb blowers that are used to inflate sports balls or football helmets? Would there be any disadvantages to using something like that? They seem to put out a good puff of air in a very specific location. Just curious...

It also has that one way valve so it doesnt suck air back in the nozzle, dont know if it matters but at least you can pump it real fast and get basically a steady airstream

Omarlyn,

I have the 170mm. I bought this size on the advice of the gentleman at the Filter Connection. He suggested that this was the "normal" size, and that he didn't see any advantages to the larger one that offsets the extra space it would take in your bag. I've been very pleased with this size.

It didn't seem to blow anything off my 10D sensor. Jim
