Hi all, this is my first post so I am hoping someone will help me out,

I am a hobbyist photographer looking to buy a new monitor that would be good for photo (photoshop) editing. I am not looking to spend more than 500 - 600.00.

Does anybody know or have and tips on what is a decent monitor in this price range that would show good colors. I am not looking at high end...

Right now I am just using a standard dell monitor (e177ft).

Or if you happen to have a mac, just pick up an older cinema/studio display and you will be happy. Craigslist is your friend. Atleast it is mine.
