The D3x is sure a fine camera but, at 14 bits, only shoots about 2fps.

Of course, it's coming. Just as I am sure there will be a Canon 60D, 1D5, 1Ds5 etc or Nikon D4, D4x, D400 etc

That's why those who dismiss the 1D4 now will have to eat crow when the time comes... of course, that may only happen 1 year later...

Yes, but 14 bits offers no real significant advantage over 12 bits in terms of image quality.

THW2! Read this and be informed. If you can understand it.

Thanks for the link. I enjoy the read. But it's rather theoretical. In terms of real world photography, no one has been able to demonstrate a huge advantage when using 14 bit vs 12 bit.

Well... I don't know if it's bits that are contributing or not... But my 14bit files certainly have more latitude with recovery of highlights than all of my 12bit bodies. 12 vs. 14 (who knows??) But I like the extra that I get...

Just check the upc website. A UPC for the 1D4 will confirm this leak.

Anyone can create a fake UPC for any product and enter it into the website. Its not like it is official.

Yes, it is a photoshopped image. There are too many shadows and highlights that are identical to the hires canon image available on their website. The lighting of the LCD has been changed, and one or two highlights are changed, but the other 100 or so highlights are identical. Check out the lighting just below the flash shoe, it would be very difficult to duplicate that identically, and the reflection of the lights in the viewfinder are the same as well.

The outline and angle of view is also identical.

The "ML" button is in playback zone (blue letters), who would need a mirror lock-up when chimping? And with live-view and "C" settings, the dedicated ML button is a pointless feature anyway.
