Quick question, I'm looking at geotagging my photos but the viewing aspect has me confused. While I understand that you can load the pictures into Google Earth or Flickr and view them on a map, this (from my understanding) requires an internet connection. |

hrmm, most of the apps mentioned require an internet connection mainly for the maps. If there is something out there that has that kind of functionality, it might be something like a MS maps/streets software and might use up to a few gig for the maps. |

I wouldn't mind giving up a few (or many) GB's of space to have the feature. It just seems very strange that you can geotag your photos, but if you don't have an internet connection, or are unwilling to post them to a public site, your out of luck. |
