Yes, it's true--I'm thinking about trading the lens that has made some of my favorite photos:

Why? Mostly because I have the 85L so my "wow bokeh" needs are well taken care of. And partially because I feel like mixing things up. Here are some things I might be interested in, plus or minus bucks:

  1. Something in a fast pancake, like Ultron SL II or Olympus 40mm f/2
  2. Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZE
  3. Summicron R 35mm (not ROM)
  4. Summilux R 50mm (not ROM)
  5. Other interesting fast glass, like your uncle's old 58mm f/1.2 converted to EF mount by a monk who has taken a vow of silence but obviously would have a lot to say, if only it were permitted

Trade items would have to be from a nonsmoking home. Not interested in selling right now because that's kind of boring. I bought the Sigma new in December and it comes with everything it came with then. Serial number begins with 1009. Please let me know what you've got to trade.

Thanks,
Greg

I have a Nikon 55 1.2 AI'd I'm trying to sell. You would need an adapter but its an awesome lens.

It's Canon. I know I'll probably regret it, but I have an itch to try something new and I'll trade it only for something else pretty interesting.

Not really looking to sell it right now. Maybe in a week or two, if I don't come to my senses and withdraw it.

OK--here's the deal. I just tried a Voigtlander Ultron SL II pancake lens, and I must have one. So I'll sell the Sigmalux. It focuses great on the bodies I've used, and the results have been stellar. Better than any 50mm I've ever used. Given the Internet rumors, I can't guarantee that the focus will be the same on every body out there, so I'd like to sell it with the blank warranty card and Amazon receipt for $395. I normally am happy to take back any lens, but I'm going to get that Voigtlander as soon as this sells, so I'm basically offering to take a good hit and let go of a lens that's been beautiful for me as long as you're willing to be the one to send it to Sigma if, for whatever reason, it's not spot-on for you.

Sold in roughly 12 seconds. I need to rethink my prices one of these days.
