Well I haven't done one of these for quite a while... my FM friend Dan "mdbassman" suggested the other day that I get my act together and do something other that watching snow flakes fall So for Dan, here is another in my 'sort of' series of Retro Diners and such that I started just about this time a year ago.

I hope you fine it of some interest. I have included the original for referance.

1) Original shot
2) Midnight at the Oasis Updated Jan. 11, 2009
I brightened up the neon and added the clock over the door... added neon color reflections in the car hood, darkened the sky on the lower right.

Dynomite Terry!
As a line in the lyrics of Maria Muldaur's song, Midnight at the Oasis, goes "A nomad known to all".
You did a spectacular job Terry.
Dan

Terry, the "nomad" was a reference to your '56 Chevy wagon..It is 1 beautiful car Terry.

Hi Dan... hey I had so much fun doing this... thanks for the inspiration The place is called Hot Rod City, but their signage was buried behind the yellow light so I came up with "The Oasis" and thus the title.

Thanks for your kind comments Dan.
