I have a D200 w/grip and never bought the L-bracket because people who did said there was too much flex in the grip for this combination to work well. |

I don't use L brackets but the grip on the D300 is much more solid than the grip on the D200 in my opinion. I don't like the visual aspect but its very well built. I'm still deciding if I should keep my grip... |

I have RRS L-brackets for my D3 as well as for my D700/300 with grip. For me there's no difference. |

I'll second the comment re: the d300 with grip, but no L bracket - very solid, no noticable flex at all. |

I have the D300 and the RRS L-bracket. No flex at all. I don't even notice it's there. |
