I have a D200 w/grip and never bought the L-bracket because people who did said there was too much flex in the grip for this combination to work well.
I am considering upgrading to a D300 w/ grip and would like opinions as to the rigidity of the D300 w/grip when using an L-bracket.
I know I can get an L-bracket for it WITHOUT the grip, but since I like to leave the grip on all the time, I would like the opinions of other users who have tried this configuration.

I don't use L brackets but the grip on the D300 is much more solid than the grip on the D200 in my opinion. I don't like the visual aspect but its very well built. I'm still deciding if I should keep my grip...

I have RRS L-brackets for my D3 as well as for my D700/300 with grip. For me there's no difference.

I'll second the comment re: the d300 with grip, but no L bracket - very solid, no noticable flex at all.

I have the D300 and the RRS L-bracket. No flex at all. I don't even notice it's there.

I can't compare it to the D200, though.
