I understand a lot of people on this forum are interested in the fate of Havasu Canyon after the recent flood. I came across a news item about efforts to organize a volunteer trip to help with the recovery. According to the article "... participants will backpack 10 miles down to the campground, where they'll stay in a base camp with meals provided by Arizona Outback while the focus on clearing debris and building new trails... the first public trip is Jan. 22-25, with a second planned for February... more info: 866-455-1601, aoa-adventures.com..."

By the way, I am not associated with Arizona Outback, just thought some of you might be interested in reading about it or joining the effort and get "... a first look at a couple of sites the world has never seen".

I'd be there in a heartbeat if I lived out there. Great opportunity for people to get out, do some good, and maybe snap a few shots along the way.
