This shot is with a rev 35-80mm ef lens. I have tried the aperature set and hold DOF preview. When I take the lens off and reverse it my AVsets to zero. Is this normal? The DOF is crazy thin at 35mm which this shot was taken. Any help is greatly appreciated as well as C&C.

That's normal. AV 00 displays because the electrical contacts of the lens aren't attached to the camera. Newer digital slrs meter fine like this so there is nothing to worry about.

Thank you.....I did not know if it actually affects the DOF or not.

Good one

What F stop did you set- did you check the aperture had locked by looking down the lens ?

Lord V--I just double checked and yes it locked. I guess I just dont quite understand getting the exposure correct. Even though the F stop says "00" can I asume that I would just adjust shutter speed for correct exposure? Using a rev lens does setting the F stop still work the same as a normal mounted lens? Again thank you for the info.
