Buzzard Christmas lunch (not child friendly!)

It is in the Netherlands normally not possible to get nearby a bird, small or big! They fly away when you look at them. This blond Buzzard was not an exeption for that. But after visiting his area more then once a day for weeks he / she is tolerating me. One day I saw him / her on top of a hare.

Difficult light and shooting from several directions and low from the ground. I love this bird!

Not a good day for the hare but a wonderful shoot for you. The great low angle on these shots makes for good impact. The minimalized BG keeps focus on the bird and prey. Great shots and a very nice 'posting' of the last image

Hey Walter,
I know what you are talking about. Its the same in Switzerland, look at them sideways and they are gone like a flash. Not like those tame ones they seem to have across the water
You got some nice action shots here of nature's recycling process. Like the composition on the last one too.
