Near Badwater, after storms in the surrounding mountains drained enough water down to the salt flats to create a rather large lake. But it was only a few inches deep and would evaporate within several weeks.
Scanned from a slide and converted.

Very cool shot here, Charlie. The little band of dry land that seperates the land from reflection really sets this off, imo.

Nice shot Charlie.. I like the near symmetry of the reflections.. When or how long ago was this taken?

Thanks for the comments, Barry and Leon.
The photograph was taken about 10 or so years ago. Definitely before the big flood of a few years ago where roads were washed out and a few people died.
Water can drain into the salt flats from the surrounding mountains even though it may not have rained in the valley itself. I've seen a lake there two or three times over the years.
