It has been some time since posting here .... though I skulk about looking for new ideas ...
Image edited with Painter 7.... C&C always appreciated.
If none, enjoy.

Thanks for taking a stab at a comment ... not much action on this forum as it is ...
So, what is it about this image that gets the "not for me this one"?
Would be more helpful to get a constructive critique .... good or bad.

One thing I really can't grasp here is what you're trying to promote? I see five generic football players on an unidentifiable cracked surface. Unless there's some sort of symbolism I'm unaware of, I just don't have much interest in either. I open painter threads hoping to see artistic renderings I know are either impossible in PS or would take hours to emulate. For my tastes, there's just nothing here that makes me want to save the pic to my "idea catalyst" folder.

The idea behind this image originated with an interest in wanting to create a quasi-fresco look somewhat similar to those you find in Roman ruins .... familiar day-to-day images of what was popular and of interest at that time .. Pompeii comes to mind.

No specific symbolism here ..... just 15 to 30 minutes application to a photograph via Painter.
Nevertheless, thanks for the comment ....

I would've tried connecting it with something...Track and field, javelin, equestrian race, etc. The typical modern twist on a traditional classic concept, not a contemporary sport.
