Hey all!!

I decided it was time to post a few of the first shots I've processed from my Israel trip. Although not landscapes, at least not yet, this is my 'home' forum and thought you all might enjoy. The trip itself was amazing. Much more emotional than I had planned and had an opportunity to meet 7 soldiers that joined our group for 5 days. The country is beautiful in an interesting way. The countryside reminds me of photos of scotland and then there are sites like the dead sea, desert waterfalls, canyons etc. It was interesting being the only photographer on the trip as I was the ass w/ the tripod running around all the time and holding the group up...luckily they trusted me I would come back with some good shots. Hopefully I did not let them down.

These are just a few that I've gotten to and will have many more of the coming weeks. I am still traveling, in FL til tomorrow then back to NY til the 15th.

Thank you all for the time and if you want to discuss more in detail please message me :-)

Aaron

A very special experience. This is Temple Mount on the south wall (and west wall corner). We celebrated the first night of chanukah down where the lights are with a group of soldiers, tourists, etc. Memorable.

If you care to follow: www.afeinphoto.com/Israel/Israel.html is where they will be going.

Thanks for the time!

They are all very nice. Great job. I think the cropping of the boots is a bit off for me though. Maybe a bit more off the bottom.

Great job. Scott

Really nice set, I love the first few and in particular the first. Very well done. I'll be taking my first trip to the Middle East next month, Jordan, and I hope to come back something half as good. Can't wait to see your site for more.

These are excellent. In terms of impact, I especially like #s 1, 3, and 4. Nice job with the whole set.

Great images. There's something powerful about the chanukah picture, and #2 seems like a quiet moment of reflection.

Great series
I like #7 best, it reminds me of another photo of a totally different place...I just can't remember where...

I really, really like the third shot. I also like the first and fourth. Not too keen on the cell phone guy. The bridge image is really nice.

Very emotive series Aaron. I really love the B+W and the first three in general. The conversions give a starkness to the scenes which is highly appropriate.

I may be being thick about this, but your numbering and titles seems to get out of sync..

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm just bummed I havent been able to edit more! I am about to drive from CT to albany in the ice storm...wohoo. But hoping for some sweet shots up there. Anyway...

I am always flattered by the respones at times. It really encourages me to keep pushing hard to make a living doing this. Thank you all!!

Martin - the numbers are at the top of the photo, the words at the bottom, funny how it posted though, i see your confusion ;-)

Sam - that's freakin' funny. That was the very very beginning of me getting back in to photography. A bunch of those photos were taken with a A610 point and shoot. Good times. Some of them are obviously a bit embarrassing at this point but still fun that they're up (I should prob get them to put my name up there actually)...check this though: http://afeinphoto.com/Skiing.html That's more like it

tgran - It's a crazy part of this world. I'm sure you'll come away with some telling shots!

AW - glad you think that about the chanukah one b/c it was really powerful to be there. :-)

Again...thank you all very much

aF
