Here's your chance to post your favorite macro photograph for 2008. It can be one you like personally or one that was most well-received by others. Please post only ONE photo. If you have too many favorites and are simply unable to decide and want to post your "top 3", then this thread is not for you.

Note: this is not an indictment against those photographers who are posting year-end threads of their favorites with multiple photos. In fact, those individuals are encouraged to contribute to this thread as well, as long as it is only one photo - that one photo they consider to be their best for the year 2008.

Here's mine. I've posted it several times already this year but it's my personal favorite macro shot for 2008.

Thanks for starting the thread Ron, should be a good one. Hard to pick a fave... but I think I like this one best, taken way back in January...wish the sharpness was better... but I like it anyhow

If I have to pick one, this would be my choice. Having this portrait in my mind drove me to get better equipment and learn more about macro, I guess it's my inspiration. I didn't dare to take this photo until I felt I could do it justice.

Think this has to be my fave of 2008 simply because I never expected to see a demoiselle damselfly in my garden

Truly amazing contributions here

I had a hard time picking one favourite, but this one perhaps:

It's a Passion Flower stack with the 5D and Sigma 150mm + 1.4X TC = 210mm.

This is my favorite this year. I only got a true macro lens in early December, and the bugs tend to disappear in the winter.

This is my first good, true macro shot. This was taken at about 2:1.
