In the past 3 or so years I have never used a flash in my photography with pretty good results. I think I'm ready to go to the next stage, so I wanted to learn a bit about what I should be doing in terms of flash and what benefits I would see. |

Do you really need flash? Well, it depends. Is every picture you take well balanced (good contrast ratio) indoors and out? Are you always shooting at high ISO's to keep the shutter speed up? If you are shooting at high ISO's can you print enlargements or look at images without excessive noise?/ If you can answer yes to all of these you probably don't need flash. But if you do, get and SB-900, it's wonderful. |
