Had I shot it I think I'd like it too, so - no, you're not crazy, imho.

I think it's a really cool, different, shot. The only nit is the reddish glow near her eye and his nose. Are those flare? Focus light? Could you clone those out?

sick shot. her chin and nose are a little harsh/defined for it to be perfect. but the concept is pretty tight. gelled flash?

Wonderful composition and lighting - I do agree that the chin and nose are not... well represented.

Scott - This was in the lobby of an apartment building and there were some blue lights shining on the steel walls.

Great shot. But I would try two things: get rid of those two yellow bands on the right side of the picture, and try inverting it so that the couple are on the right. The eye naturally looks at pictures from left to right, so it'll add some nice playfulness to the picture. Also a narrower crop may accentuate this effect. Just my 0.02$.

I actually love this shot. Its funny sometimes what we as photog smay like will be far more abstract and artistic than what clients may prefer. Great photo!
