I bought mine for a decent price and it is paired with some nice glass, so mine will be staying with me for awhile.

My plan in order to carry that out is to not use the 5DII when I come into contact with it. The last time I did that with a piece of canon equip, it ended up in my bag. Ex. 85 1.2

Right now I could either sell the 1D Mark II or the 5D. I'm keeping the latter and the 1DII is up for sale.

I love shooting with two FF bodies.

dont understand this theory. If you crop a 5d2 file to the same as a 1.6 cropper then you end up with 8mp. the difference between 8 and 10 is not much. added to that you have the chance to recopose in the crop (you dont have to crop to the middle)
If you want the speed then fine or swap the 5dclassic for a 50d or 1d2

True but if you're after the cropped area (ie if you're shooting wildlife) you're better off with the higher pixel density, and you'd also end up with a faster camera (and computer from the smaller files). It'd be nice if the 5d2 had a crop mode that automatically defaults the camera to 8 MP, with higher frame rate.

I sold my 5D to get a 5D MK II, but it took so long to be released that I ended up picking up a 1Ds MK II. I miss the "lack of weight" of the 5D, so I may be in the market of getting it back. The 1Ds MK II serves all my resolution needs as well as AF speed which I've now gotten used to.

The good side effect for me is that my current software works with the 1Ds MK II raw files, so I don't have to upgrade my Lightroom or Photoshop Some savings to put towards glass.

With the fall I jumped at the chance to get a second 5D. Together with my 1DII I have everything I need for another season, and then I'll get a couple of 1D4s and keep 1 5D for travel.

i definitely plan on keeping the old 5D when I get the MKII. i shoot mostly prime so having 2 bodie will be nice when shooting events and such.

Plan to keep the original 5D. Shooting with two FF bodies is very appealing for me.

I plan to get a 5D2 next month and am negotiating a deal now to get a 5D classic (I like that name!) for $1200 from an upgrader to a 5D2. I'll be selling a 40D to offset some of the cost.
That will give me 2 40ds and 2 FF bodies.

I got to test shoot a 5D2 against my 40D at a friends house and I was amazed at how much more accurate the AWB was on the 5D2.
