Hello All,
I have been asked by my sister to take some casual shots of her and her husband in the last month of her pregnancy. I am not generally a 'people photographer' but I am willing to give it a shot. I have a 24-105 f/4 on a 40D which I figure will be enough, but I don't have any lights, reflectors, etc. Any general advice or ideas on how I can do my best?
Thanks, Matt

Hi waketurbulence, window is a good idea. If you use a white Tshirt that will work as a reflector. Take pictures outside, beach, parks...

Except at night.

But during the day...window light is my recommendation too.

Do you have a shop light? One of those 500W hallogens? If not, go buy one for $20 at Home Depot.

A few bucks for some diffusion fabric and a few bucks for some pvc and you can make a half way decent light on the cheap.

Here's an example;
