Someone passed this link along to me.

http://wearetheparsons.blogspot.com/2008/10/jessi-dave-wedding-day-part-2.html

If you can't listen to it right now w/ your sound on, wait to watch it until you can.

I'd say if this doesn't inspire you or move you somehow, there is a good chance you are dead on the inside.

enjoy,

jf

I tried to enjoy it, but the Ken Burns effect killed it for me.

Elegant, clean, and minimalist. Lovely. Someone should e-mail the Parsons and invite them to join us

Oh no... I hadn't heard that this is becoming passe. Is it just the pan/zoom that bothers you? Or the whole crossfade with background music? I love doing these, but in addition to the DVD version, I also include the WMV at 800x600 for PC playback... higher resolution with less moire'. Or even better 1080P blu-ray format burned to standard DVD+R.

What's your preferred method of presentation?

I liked it, but I'd cull a few near-dupes out of the middle so the last handful didn't dangle past the music.

Wow that was great, pretty much a dream wedding imo.

I typically love the Ken Burns affect, but this one was poorly done. Some people just don't have a feel for how to do it without people noticing it too much.

A lot of the images were great (though their black and white conversions looked off to me). I would have LOVED to shoot that wedding, for sure!

technical and creative aspects aside, the emotion of the images were absolutely powerful!

thanks for sharing!

I adored the wedding itself, and what a great job catching those emotions.
I agree there was something off about the bw conversions, and I would have liked to see it with a few less similar looking shots and fewer feet shots, we got it already.
Loved the music, and overall really enjoyed the slideshow, as it accomplished what I'm sure they set out to do, make me feel like I had been there, (Or at least wish I had )

some good happiness shots; pool shots cool; feet shots suck; some B/W messed up; too long; music same and not that great;

overall...ok, (just)

I think the way the OP made it sound gave made all of us expect too much of it when we viewed it. There are some great images in it though, but also some not so great ones

Pictures just OK. I couldn't look at many of them because of two big negatives: the MUSIC and the fact that I couldn't control which ones I wanted to see. Slideshows with no options to pick and choose are not to my taste.

That was moving... it showed what a truly beautiful wedding looks like.

Reminds me of a lot of slide shows I've seen at Funerals lately.
