Okay, iPF5100 for $999, iPF 6100 $1499 plus free paper including free shipping.

Is Canon getting out of printers under 44"?

Or are new models so good, they render current printers dog meat?

Or are channels so clogged with product they are doing anything to sell them?

What giives?

Are the new Epson and HP printers giving Canon fits?

I've been looking at these printers. Where did you find the prices?

I know that they are not dumping the > 44" printers, I've heard that they are just trying to make a bigger name for themselves next to HP and Epson.

Where did you see the $999 price on 5100? I have a HP 9180, but this sounds like a great deal.

But I'm sure the usual suspects Shadesofpaper colorhq itsupplies will soon have or match this price.

I got a great price last year on an iPF5000. I think Canon is just trying to gain market share and they are doing whatever they have to do to get printers sold and in use. Their products are fairly new in this space relative to Epson.

I have used a EPSON 7600 for years and its getting aged.
The iPF5000 sounds like a fine printer is any body using it and what do you think?
The epson prints just fine will I be happy with the Canon?
Thanks for any input.

My iPF5000 is a nice printer, the 5100 is an upgrade from the 5000 so even better. You may miss 24 inches form your 7600 so look at the 6100 too.

I ended up getting a Epson 4880 from Sarah at Shades of Paper.

I ordered the printer on Monday the 22nd and received it on the 24th.
The output is great and the 4880 preforms very well.

Sarah is awesome to work with and the pricing is good also.
