I have to fly out across the country with a large amount of equipment. Do any of you have recommendations on shipping cases for c-stands?

Thanks!

Do your c-stands have the detachable base? You could put the bases in one case and the long skinny parts in another as the cases made for c-stands are $$$$ and heavy as heck.
Can you rent at your destination? It seems like a real PITA to ship C-stands across the country.

Yeah, really - renting at or near your destination is always a good idea for grip. Otherwise use lighter-weight stands...I've got a few mid-weight Impact or SP Systems stands that are maybe 1/3rd the weight of a c-stand but still pretty sturdy.

You could use something like this to ship or fly with grip gear:

Just as an FYI - the case that Shatterkiss linked to is great, but it's a near replica of the hard-sided golf bag cases that cost 1/3 the price.

http://www.casesbyskb.com/golf/golf-cases.htm - same company, very similar cases, $100 less.

http://www.securegolftravel.com/hard-sided-cases - one here for $89.

I can't vouch for quality or anything of the sort for anything I linked to, just letting you know what's out there.

If you have to ship i suggest Pelican cases. Super heavy, so split your load a bit, but as above if you can: RENT (or fly with alu folding stands)
