There is also another solution which also solves the problem of mounting the flash to a stand: ![]() That is a generic PC - Hot Shoe extender, available at most photo stores like Ritz for under $10, shown below with a Wein Peanut optical trigger. I just snipped off the PC end and soldered on a mini-phone plug (mono) from Radio Shack. You can also buy them pre-made from Flash Zebra for about $20. Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to go attempt to splice the wires because the Vivitar flash came with a pc-vivitar adapter as shown in the post above. |
