now it depends. i know nothing about what you are going to mount on it. it is of indian origin. i have seen 2 of these broken down to individual parts. they were poorly built to say the least. i might buy it with your money but certainly not with mine. when i spend that sort of money i like post sales support i like parts replacement. you will get neither in purchasing this. this is not an investment grade product. it is $200 that dropped through a hole in your pants pocket never to be seen again. i use Wimberley products and am willing to pay to protect my investment. |

I used one of those for quite a while. The metal parts are solid and well made but the knobs are cheap hard plastic that broke right off several times. They must have expected it, they included two replacements but those broke off too. Then I bought a Wimberley and have been pretty happy since. |

i wouldn't want to assume the term solid. one of the two that a witnessed torn down completely had fair sized voids in the casting. that is not quality manufacturing. |
