Hi everyone! I've been looking at this forum for some time and have some questions about softboxes.

I know that Photogenic sells softboxes specific for flash use only i.e. Canon speedlights, etc. Can softboxes specific to strobes like the Bowens / Calumet brand be used for flash as well?

Thanks in advance.

"For flash only" generally refers to strobes in general - everything from Speedlights up to studio monolights and heads. It's meant to differentiate from continuous "hotlights", which cause much more wear and tear on modifiers.

I wouldn't recommend Photogenic's accessories or modifiers, however, especially their softboxes - really, they're junk. For not much more money you can use something like Photoflex softboxes and just purchase the appropriate speedrings to mate with whatever strobes you use.
