I got to go out on Dale Hallow lake the day before thanksgiving, and the water was 18 feet below normal, and this exposed the fish houses.

I have many of these, all of which I converted to B&W. This one for some reason was one of my faves.

Taken with an XSi and a 17-55mm
Comments welcome.

Very interesting stump, although the composition isn't. I think another comp might work better.

I actually quite like the comp. You might consider posting it in the B/W forum.

Not quite sure how else to shoot this when it's the only thing around. I have about 6-7 shots of this from all angles, and seeing as how the sun was casting a nice shadow, I think this one worked best from the shots I had. Thanks for the input though!

Thank you Reason I posted this here is probably due to more eyes seeing it. But I may post this over there as well.

Over all I was trying to convey a lot of nice textures. I hope that I did that.

I like it too. Good job on this one, B&W really fits.

Great shot and very good conversion. MrGreen might have a point with the composition. Moving the camera more to the right and even a little bit lower could have given a more dynamic composition.
