Hi all,

It has been a while since I have posted anything here. I would really like some C&C on this picture. Obviously I can't reshoot, but if you have any suggestion I would like to hear them. If there is something I can fix in PS great if not then I'll make notes for next time.

I like it, some people will argue that spot colouring is out of fashion but I think as an occasional trick it works - especially with the sepia.
I'm sure the bride will love it too, and at the end of the day thats what matters

Nice photo. Not the obvious choice of having the mirrored image in sepia.

My immediate thought is that the pink cornice and dressing table clutter showing in the mirror need taking out. (unless there are personal reasons for them)

Is the one leaf left green an oversight or a tell?

Silver, hoping to be useful.

Not to my taste.
Seems to say something about old and new with the sepia/color combo. I might be more inclined to do BW/color if I were to make my attempt at being creative. I agree with Silver about removing the colorful clutter on the table.

This is not spot color. This is selective color. Spot color involves a single solid color that requires an extra plate during the offset printing process.

Thanks. I agree about spot color (or as rhyder rightly pointed out selective color) being out of fashion, but the bride asked if I did any kind of B&W with color pictures. So I wanted to do something different, and yes I did the bride in B&W with the Bouquet in color. Thanks for looking and commenting.

No it's not the obvious choice, the bride asked about "selective color" prints and I wanted to do something different.

This is the reason I posted here. The leaf is an oversight, and you are right about the dressing table and cornice.

You were a big help.

Thank you

Sbeme,

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

No this style is not to everyone's taste and to hedge the bet I presented it both ways. This one and a full color. I tried straight BW/color, but I wanted more impact.

Thanks again

rhyder,

Point taken. And I knew that, (now for the obligatory excuse) just not at 3:00 AM 8*)

Thanks for looking.

Interesting but not really my cup of tea. Couple of nits: the window treatment and drawn shade as a background, imo, detract from the image; to me, her elbow is not flattering, perhaps if her arm was bent holding a bouquet, glass of wine , or whatever - but then that arm isn't in the mirror image, is it?

my 2¢

For me it is not strong because of her elbow not looking flattering and the busyness reflected adn then I don't get why she is sepia in person and not sepia in reflection.

She is a pretty girl and it feels like the old witch (sepia) looking at the pretty girl in the mirror, who is the fairest of them all.

But you are right, if the bride likes it - it is good.
