I enjoyed these very much, Jack. 1st and 4th are my faves. I like your deft touch with the HDR(?). |

They are all captivating. #2 is of interest to me as I like old farm equipment. Did you line up the edge of the wagon with the roof top intentionally? mike |

Welcome to FM Jack. Have no fear about the quality of your images - they are excellent. My favourite from this great bunch is #2. I love the composition here. A wonderful reminder of my visit there in September. Thanks! |

They are all good, 2nd and 3rd would be my favorite (nice colors). Too bad that the road to Bodie was still closed when I was there in April. |

Yes, Barry, they are HDR. Three images (1 EV apart), processed with Photomatix & Photoshop. |

"not sure they're up to the caliber of the forum" not to worry you've just raised the bar a notch. Great set. |

Some interesting ideas. Way to hdr in places though 2,3,4. If that's your style...rock it but can see the haloing/glowing, etc. I would suggest a b/w version of 1. Otherwise your comps are solid and it's a very cool place. well done and welcome |

Thanks, I'm still working on getting my HDRs to look less-HDRish. These are the best to date, Perhaps in time... ![]() Jack |

Jack, I think these are great. #2 and #4 are my favorites. They have a painterly feel to them. Don't know if that's the result of the HDR or if you added an additional artistic effect. Very nice. |
