As others' mentioned, the depth of the photo is really great. To that end, though, I would shorten the crop from the top left to come down closer to the top of the $ sign and eliminate the 1/4 person on the extreme left. I think that would work because the guy in the left background is looking toward the foreground, which draws the viewer's eye into the center.

Greg

Thanks Greg
You are right about that "partial person on the right"

Cosmopolitan New York. Your photograph is a stunning shortcut, Lazlo. An urban meli-melo of different cultures. Love the clarity of this shot.

Thanks Santiago.

It was only a short trip to New York.
I wish I had more time, so many interesting structures and characters

Lazlo your vision and the photos clarity are a winning combination. one seldom sees or encounters a street scene like this in photograph. Great job. Take care. Bob

What a beautiful image. Very sharp focus on the people that "count" and softer focus on the background. I guess I just could have said dof. The contrast is great.

Very Nice!

Monty

Thank you so much Monty

This is why I love street photography. The world is a stage, and the people in it are the actors. There is always something going around, but nobody ever pays attention and they are too preoccupied with listening to their iPods or chatting away on the phone.

But to be a photographer is to think and interpret the world in a different way. We look at things that "normal people" overlook and we see it as beautiful and worth capturing and sharing it.

You really have the Black and White vision as well Lazlo.
