I was hired last week to do DJ Whoo Kid's new promo photos. This is one of them. DJ Whoo Kid is 50 Cent's DJ for anyone who doesnt know. He is the nicest guy and I had a lot of fun during the shoot. The second photo is me and him right after we finished shooting for the day.

Nice shot, I think a vertical crop would work better, but you may have intended to put some wording around him.

For #1 I think the horizontal crop is a nice change. It "breaks-the-rules" and is refreshingly different. The lighting on #2 makes for a very interesting image.

Thanks for the comments. #1 was actually taken as a vertical image and I added the space on either side because I feel it adds to the impact having him in the center of all the black. Maybe one day I will post more photos from the shoot.

Great job Jess! I get that he's very self assured in this shot and I think that the way you altered the image adds very nicely to that feeling. I do hope you post more images from the shoot!
