Everyone needs a muse, right? She's 19 years old. I have been photographing her for three years now. She is my associate photographer. I am teaching her everything I know about photography....which may not be much. She is as comfortable in front of the camera as behind it.

She's always ready for a photo session. Sometimes, my wife even assists. Imagine that.

In the first two she is wearing a 50 year old wedding gown. Eventually we are going to do a trash the dress session in it...which won't be our first. The whites are blown out on purpose, its a high-key technique I learned from Larry Peters, http://www.petersphotography.com, even using a special reflector built and sold by Larry.

Wow, I think most of us would kill for an associate/apprentice like that
I don't care for the high keys, it's just too much imho. Granted my screen sux and black and white points will never be completely accurate on my screen, but I can't see her nose and most of the outline of her face is gone.
#3 could use a tighter crop imo, but I love the pose and the look on her face.
#4 What is it with women in their insecurity about their looks I'm sure most women would envy her for her figure!
Not too thrilled about the pose though. She looks kinda insecure, head and shoulders are down and pointing inwards. And although she's far from fat at the waist, this pose would benefit from a slight turn of the hips imo.
#5 Lovely pose and expression. Nice soft light, maybe a bit hot on the face though, but then again could be my screen. And her arm leaving the screen like that looks kinda distracting.
There are as many opinions as there are people on this planet. And I'm by no means a pro, and it's always easier to critique then actually do it yourself so take it with a grain of salt.
Please convey my sincere WOW to your associate/apprentice/model.

Seriously though, she's a lovely young lady and you are quite fortunate to have someone as attractive and involved on both sides of the camera. I've also had the pleasure of working with someone that is truly interested in the photography as much as the modeling, and we can actually talk about results and review changes together and it really helps to make a session interactive and strengthens the images in the end. At least for those of us that are still learning and experimenting (isn't that EVERY photographer?). #2 and #4 are the winners here for me.

did i mention that i now have over 12,000 shots of her and the collection is still growing? all model-released....thankfully!
