Hello, I am interested in using a manual OM zuiko 2.0 35 mm lens on a Canon body and would like to know about its performance with particular interest in a) wide open, b) corners when stopped down. The lens would be a nice compact walk-around toll (toy?). The wide zuikos appear to be rather capable lenses. So, how about the this one? |

This is a great lens, perhaps the best of the fast 35s short of the 35 1.4 EF Canon or 35 1.4 ziess. (I have a spare one if you are looking for one, feel free to email/PM about that). I've compared it with the vivitar 35 f/1.9 and the Minolta Rokkor 35 f/1.8 and in many ways like the Oly the best. (though the other 2 are good alternatives and often cheaper) |

All shots wide open: ![]() To see how the lens performs wide open at a greater distance from a subject, (typical people shot distance) for bokeh understanding: ![]() Anyway, I tend to bring my zeiss or my OM out. Zeiss for bokeh, OM for weight. Both are nice. |
