Hi folks, I've been a long time lurker but have never had the courage to post much. I am truly inspired by many of the posts here. These forums, not only the macro section, are full of highly skilled and talented photographers. I had a go with macro photography and I've found I have a lot to learn.

Here's a couple of my first attempts. Comments and critiques are always welcomed. Thanks.

welcome to the forum, good shots ,nice compositions.
#3 seems to be the sharpest. focusing is the most critical part in macro followed by lighting.
what apperture did you shoot these at?

First 2 shots were taken at f/8 and last 2 were taken at f/16.

Thanks for the comments.

Very nice shots. I think #1 could do with a tiny bit of noise reduction though.
