Hello all, just looking for some thoughts on this shot. Thanks, dancam.

@dancam,

For me, blurred background at the left competes with the wind chimes. If this is a crop, I'd revisit the whole frame and crop differently, otherwise re-shoot if possible to give some space aground the chimes.

I like the exposure & tonality of the image.

regards,

Bob

I agree with Bob.
Image has much potential, but the bright OOF highlights immediately pull my eye across the image and away from the subject.

Thanks for the tips, this shot is completely un-edited. So, I guess I'll work on trying some crops.

My thoughts are - portrait would be better and with color would be better for interest (maybe less busy or more interesting) and it is too tight on bottom of frame to chimes.

As is there is too much competition between distracting background and the chimes - they don't complement each other.
