I usually hang out in the wedding section. I thought I would post 2 shots from a recent family session we did. I think this is the first shot posted over here.

Nice captures. I like the first shot the most with the family interacting. The only thing I would fix in post is the bird poo at the base of the bench. Very nice work!

Alright, I gotta know the lens, I'm guessing 85 f1.8, or 50 1.4?? Close?

1 - Nice background except for the brightly lit white pipes. Look likethey're having fun. I like the pose ok except for the dad's hand on the kid's crotch. Don't like the baby's face being in shadow, especially since it's the focus of attention in the scene.

2 - Looks like the dad has deep set eyes - hard to light well. Those gray skin tones always bother me in my work. Do they bother you? Also, the baby's left eye being kind of dark. I did a portrait of a child recently where it came out like that, and it bothered me, even though the parents liked it.

It was shot with a 5D and the 70-200 IS

Good catch with the pipes. I was going to clone them out I thought most people wouldn't notice.

The fathers eyes were definitely hard to light. It was hard to find any shade as well to shoot these since it was around 1:00 sun. I don't notice the grey skin tones as much. The reason they are a bit grey is I forgot to convert these to Srgb before posting. It is another good catch. You have a good eye my friend.
