Alexandre,

Besides the optics, if the housing is in good shape, I think it is a good deal. A good copy of the FD 300 f/2.8 seems to go for US $700 plus minus 50.

Goodluck,
Hanh

Stop down is no problem at all.
The mount looks pretty and neat in black.

I'll try to post the picture of the lens tomorrow.
The lens is at my house at the moment.

Paul,

Nicely done. Both the adapter and the cap.
Thank you for the pictures.

There is no adapter involved in this conversion.
The black end is the aperture ring placed during conversion.

I'm not sure whether I'll keep the lens or not.
It's very heavy, and I fear that I may not use it much.

If I decide to sell it, what would be a reasonable price for this lens?

Hi Paul,

Keh.com is a good reference for used lens' prices.

You can also use mflenses.com used lens price guide (ebay selling prices)

http://www.mflenses.com/rokreporter/run.html

Canon FD 300mm f/2.8 on average goes for US $700.00

Good luck,
Hanh
