Just something from a series im working on.
the only light source in this is the moon.

In the first one theres a "shooting star" effect on the startrails,
this was done by breathing on the lens, starting halfway in to
the exposure.

Almost scary to try and keep up with all the beautiful work posted
here lately. It's a pleasure to browse this forum

Keep up the good work!.

I never heard of breathing on the lens having that affect on stars, that's really cool. I'm sure the web kills this. Can you post a 100% crop of the star area in the first, just to get an idea of how this affect would show up in print, that would awesome! Nice shot. Is there more to this series on the way?

Hi Drew,

it works really well sometimes, limiting the amount of light hitting the sensor
so the ends of the startrails kinda narrows in and fades out.

yup, i'll post a crop later when back home
