These are from the weekend.
Was lucky to the get the 2 butterflies while they were still quite sluggish.

The dragon was handheld at its most active time in the morning, luckily it kept returning to the same perch so all i had to do was wait for a good shot.

Lighting wise they're excellent though they seem to be rather centered in the frame. I also wonder if perhaps you have another angle that's not from the side?

Lovely shots, especially the hairstreak, but agree that they could use a little more room in the frame. Nicely captured.

wonderful photos! I really like the composition of the second shot. I think the shot would look much better though without the leaf that is partially in focus on the right .

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I agree about the comp. could use some space around but wanted to keep the space at a minimum so subject details were clear.

The butterflies would have been better in portrait format and the dragonfly could usefully have had the righthand quarter or so cropped off.

Nice ones Love the colour, contrast and detail. Have to agree with the others about the comp though. But: great shots anyway
