The first has a really tight crop -no excuses though. I was at 3x, saw that stamen in the view finder, and had to work it into the composition. You be the judge if it was a mistake...

Twice life size. I titled this one "What Now?!"

The fly gives me the impression that it is very carefully removing a hot rod from a nuclear reactor core. Wierd maybe, that's what I think when I look at that. The second is a really neat title, I have a fly shot somewhere that I thought conveyed a similar theme. I like 'em both, John.

Thanks Kenny

I see a candle's wick every time I look at that stamen and I wonder if it's one of those flower shots that's ruined because there is a critter in the way. Something to work on when the rain stops -three straight days of it. I half expect to see Noah...

Hmm, yeah, I see what you mean about the candle flame.

Well, it can't rain forever, right? Let's hope not anyway. If you do see Noah, tell him I said hey.

Is that blur on the slug due to movement? Surely not!
